Venue Availability

Is our desired event date available?

Once your date is submitted for proposal, the venue's booking calendar is consulted and the date is confirmed.

What are the available dates and times for ceremonies?

Available dates and times will be provided upon inquiry.

Do you host multiple events on the same day?

The venue boasts 12,000 sq ft, providing multiple spaces for multiple events in independent spaces at the same time.

Booking & Contracts

How far in advance should we book the venue?

Generally for smaller gatherings of 75 people or less, we have availability with 2 - 3 months notice. For larger celebrations, 6 -12 months in advance is recommended.

What is the booking process, and how do we secure a date?

Request a proposal from our team and receive a reply within 24 hours.

Can we hold a date while we make a decision?

We believe that finding the perfect venue should not come at the expense of losing the perfect date. At Movida, you can save the date with no deposit and no obligations.

Pricing & Packages

How many guests can the venue accommodate?

The venue can accommodate up to 500 guests maximum capacity for different setups.

Are there different packages available?

Food and Beverage package options will be presented with the proposal

What additional fees should we consider?

Potential additional charges include service, processing, and admin fees.

What is the payment schedule?

The event date can be secured and held with no money down (and no obligations) for up to 30 days. Once the booking is officially confirmed, a 50% deposit is due. The remaining balance is due no later than 1 week from the event.

Capacity & Amenities

How many guests can the venue accommodate?

There are no room rental costs, just food and beverage minimums. A breakdown of costs and inclusions for various packages is provided upon your proposal request.

What are the available spaces for the ceremony/reception?

There are numerous indoor/outdoor spaces available based on the size of your celebration.

Do you provide catering, or can we bring in our own?

With two full-service independent kitchens, Movida caters all events in-house.

Services Provided

Do you have in-house event coordinators/planners?

Movida does not provide an in-house event coordinator and kindly requests a designated event coordinator for wedding celebrations or events larger than 75 guests.

What audio/visual equipment is available?

A list of available AV equipment or rental options will be provided subject to the space that is booked.

Is there on-site accommodation for the bridal party?

We do have bridal suite accommodations.

Policies & Logistics

What is your alcohol policy?

Movida services all beverages for the venue. Outside vendors are prohibited.

Are there restrictions or guidelines for decorations?

Specific decoration requests are welcomed and subject to approval.

What is the venue's cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable. Guests can reschedule or cancel the event up to 30 days prior to the date booked with no additional cost.

Staff & Assistance

Will there be a venue manager on-site during the event?

There will be an on-site venue manager or coordinator the day of the event.

Is there a designated point of contact for our wedding?

There will be a designated point of contact for specific queries or assistance.

Can we hire additional staff or bring our own vendors?

All staff is provided by Movida Events. Outside entertainment or service providers are subject to Movida approval.

Catering Options

Do you offer menu tastings?

Depending on the characteristics of the event, tasting sessions will be scheduled.

Can the menu be customized to dietary preferences?

Upon request, Movida can customize for dietary needs.

Is there a cake-cutting fee or dessert options?

Depending on the characteristics of the event, there may be associated cake cutting fees.

Technology & Setup

What audio/visual capabilities does the venue have?

A/V capabilities are contingent on the space being booked.

Is there a sound system, microphones, and projectors?

Speaker, microphone, and projector availability are specific to the spaces booked. 

Are there restrictions on music or entertainment options?

Music and entertainment are subject to venue approval.

Parking & Logistics

Is parking available on-site or nearby?

Street parking is available. Valet may be hired separately.

Are there accommodations for guests with disabilities?

Our venue is ADA compliant with elevator and restroom access.

What is the proximity to airports or transportation?

Movida is located 10 minutes away from the airport and 5 minutes away from the Amtrak station.

Ceremony Specifics

Can we hold both the ceremony and reception at the venue?

Movida is able to host both the ceremony and reception.

Are there options for indoor and outdoor ceremonies?

There are indoor/outdoor spaces available for ceremonies based on the size of your celebration.

What is the backup plan for inclement weather?

Weather-dependent options for outdoor celebrations will be provided specific to the area and event booked.

Decor & Setup

Can we bring our decorations, and are there restrictions?

Decoration plans are welcomed and subject to venue approval.

Is there a setup and teardown crew provided?

Movida does not provide a dedicated setup and teardown crew as part of our standard services. It is the responsibility of the event organizer or their designated vendors to handle the setup and teardown of decorations, equipment, and any other items related to the event.


Are there hotels or lodging options nearby for guests?

Movida is located in downtown Milwaukee with multiple options for lodging nearby.

Do you have partnerships with local accommodations?

Our preferred accommodation is the Iron Horse Hotel, located within walking distance.

Photography & Video

Are there any specific restrictions for photographers?

There are no restrictions for photography, but we kindly request authorization to use the photos.

Is there a recommended list of photographers/videographers?

Movida can provide a list of recommended photographers.


Can pets be part of the ceremony or present at the venue?

Yes, we understand that pets are an important part of the family, and we welcome well-behaved pets to be part of your special day. Whether you'd like your furry friend to join the ceremony or be present during the event, we are open to accommodating your pet. We recommend discussing any specific arrangements or guidelines in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for both you and your pet on your wedding day.
